Frequently Asked Questions
Perfection gently exfoliates while working on tone, and Correct uses retinaldehyde to support a smoother surface over time. Carrot Calendula Mask adds gentle weekly exfoliation on top. Combining one daily active with occasional exfoliation works far better than aggressive scrubbing.
Once or twice a week is plenty alongside a daily active. Enzyme-based formulas are gentler than physical scrubs and much less likely to leave skin irritated. Over-exfoliating is among the most common causes of rough, reactive skin, so doing it less often frequently gives a smoother result.
Their appearance can soften considerably. Perfection works on uneven tone where marks have left discoloration, while a retinal serum such as Correct supports a smoother surface. This is slow work measured in months, so consistency matters far more than intensity.
Renewal slows and the surface holds onto dull cells for longer, so it feels rougher and reflects light less evenly. Past blemishes and injuries can leave changes in the surface too. Supporting renewal with Vitamin A alongside gentle exfoliation addresses both at once.
Perfection is the pigment corrector, gently exfoliating while working across multiple melanin pathways for a more even look. Catalyst is the Vitamin C serum, enhancing the appearance of overall tone and texture. Perfection is more targeted at discoloration; Catalyst is the broader brightening option.
Build up rather than starting nightly. Two or three nights a week lets skin adapt, and you can increase from there if it stays comfortable. Calm is the gentler retinal option if Correct feels too strong, and keeping a moisturizer in the routine makes either easier to tolerate.
