What does being an Osmosis Mastermind mean to you?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: This moment feels like a red carpet experience for me. Osmosis Beauty and Wellness isn't just a brand partner; it represents a significant journey for me. My search for answers began long before and continued after I became an Esthetician and Nutritionist. Settling for brief explanations or unknown reasons regarding my skin and that of others was never an option. The distinctive strategies and education offered by Osmosis have played a pivotal role in significantly enhancing my health and boosting my confidence within my practice.

We’d love to learn more about your professional journey and your successful practice.

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: My career as an Esthetician started 9 years ago in a franchise in Menomonee Falls, WI. After a year of hands-on experience and guiding a team of 12 Estheticians, I transitioned into a regional teaching role. In 2018, I completed a Holistic Nutrition Practitioner course at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. Despite encouragement to start my own practice, confidence as a business owner was a work in progress. Over the years, diverse career paths and certifications, from medical treatments to holistic strategies, broadened my expertise and aided in healing my own skin.

The unexpected chance to open a wellness center, presented by a former employer, led to establishing my practice in 2019. In my own practice it was my mission to offer what many were telling me was impossible: true change in the skin; so we partnered with Osmosis!

My first Esthetic Instructor had this amazing story of starting her career in Wisconsin armed with just the knowledge she gathered from trade magazines. Along the way, every Esthetician I've met has shared something valuable with me and lived their lives with such compassion—I'll always look up to that and keep learning from these incredible professionals. Many mentors have moved past the "learn from experience" mentality and now generously share their own experiences, helping me navigate the challenges I may face. It's a constant journey of growth and shared wisdom.

What does Wellness mean to you?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: From my point of view, it seems that we frequently end up teaching what we ourselves need most in life. For me, this means centering my focus on wellness and untangling the truth amid the confusing messages that permeate our society and the standards of well-being. For others I believe it should be an intuition connection and expression of self love and worth, whatever that maybe for you.

Care to share about your favorite Osmosis success story?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: My father, who had been diagnosed with both MS and Stage 4 kidney cancer in October 2023, willingly became a case study for alternative treatments. Living with MS for 5 years prior to the cancer diagnosis, he faced a prognosis of 6 months without treatment or 1 year with 14 months of chemotherapy. Notably, he had been a smoker for 25 years, and he opted for an alternative approach. He completed a protocol of Immune Defense (17 doses), maintained with Immune Activator (2 doses per day), and incorporated Recovery Oil (2 tablespoons per day).

With each follow-up, positive news unfolded. MRIs revealed a reduction in tumor size, enabling further testing previously deemed impossible. To the astonishment of his medical team, he avoided chemotherapy and radiation, undergoing successful robotic surgery to remove the tumor and a portion of the kidney. Now classified as stage 1 and progressing toward remission, his neurologist's most recent MRI for MS indicates a decrease in the size of grey matter in his brain.

Having witnessed the devastating impact of MS on my grandfather and recognizing the alarming 1 in 2 cancer rates for men in today's toxic world, this healing journey, coupled with the fact that he was a smoker for 25 years and had no other form of cancer treatment, has been nothing short of extraordinary. Sharing this story with others, I find it hard to believe the incredible transformation my father has undergone.

What are your favorite Osmosis products?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: Immune Defense, Skin Perfection Elixir, Hormone Relief Elixir, Stemfactor MD, Catalyst MD, Regenerate, and Recovery Oil.

What are you passionate about personally?:

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: Wildlife conservation, horse therapy, music, urban farming, and living a slow life.

What does the future look like to you?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: As I step into my role as a new educator for Osmosis, my goal is to bring my authentic self to the table, sharing what I find most valuable in today's beauty industry with aspiring Estheticians. I'm excited about the idea of opening up multiple locations and teaming up with my partner company, Vitality Modern Health Club. It's not just about business; it's about embracing the journey and the potential for growth and achievement.

If you could give a Facial Infusion treatment to anyone past or present, who would it be and why?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: My cousin, to share the stories of healing and progress we have made.

Any advice for new Estheticians?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: Make education and niche areas your top investment priorities. In a world flooded with fads and easily accessible trends, resist the temptation of shiny object syndrome and impulsive purchases of the latest devices. Redirect your resources towards your mental health and wellness, ensuring a meaningful and lasting investment in yourself.

Who is your Account Executive?

MAGGIE SCHAETZEL: Karen Schlichter-Schonsby! Karen has always had my best interest in mind professionally. She has taken time to draft ideas of events and multiple offers. She even flew in for one of our events to perform mini Infusions! I have never worked with a representative this closely, she is the best. Thank you Karen.

Thank you, Maggie! We love learning about your journey and are excited to watch you continue to spread your love for holistic skin through your practice!
